A program of council house building and genuinely affordable homes to help those in most housing need. Built in harmony with local communities and our countryside.
Too many people in Cornwall struggle with the cost of living due to exorbitant rents and average housing costing 12 times the average wage. People should be able to live in homes that provide stability and allow families to flourish. I will campaign for a significant programme of modern ecologically sound social home building. Housing should be built for the benefit of local communities and in harmony with local communities, that why bringing back local democratic control to the planning process is so important.
